How can we increase engagement in our congregations?
There are many ways to increase engagement, but Holy Scripture reminds us that God gives the increase! It also states that the Lord added to His church daily. How? In the Old Testament, the Levitical work of the tabernacle—from the atonements all the way to the custodians—was done by those gifted with the same spirit as Moses. Their work became a banner for Israel, a constant reminder visible day and night as they journeyed through the wilderness.
In the New Covenant, that same work, once outward in the Old Testament, now begins inwardly and flows outward within the four walls of His churches. The gift to preach the gospel is just as vital as the gift to offer a glass of water to someone in need. No one can do this work alone—just as the Menorah had to be filled from the center and equally distributed to each branch. Together, we can bring 1 Corinthians 12 to life! You have a gift to make God's Church shine!
